 A decade on the Halifax Kennel Club Drill Team has afforded me many memories and lots of laughs. How little did I know that phone call to “come see what we do tonight” was the start of ten years on the team. I went to watch and was watching the drill that night, as some members were unable to attend. Mr. Paul Meuller was the Drillmaster then, and with the help of the others on the team “Monet” and I managed to get through it fine. From then on I was hooked. Over the years I have had four dogs take part in the Drill. At one time I had a team doing the one spot. The Chihuahua’s and I have enjoyed all of our visits and the many varied people we have come to meet and share our time with. The faces on those we go to perform for is all the thanks I have ever needed. As the now Director, and for the life of me I do not recall how that came to be, I will say the Team has risen to the task of all that I ask. This past year we changed our music and entire drill march. I am very proud of each and every member that has come and gone over my time as part of the HKC Drill Team.
