Six years ago Heather Cook invited Carol and me  to come to an open audition for the HKC Obedience Drill Team.

We were not members of the HKC and had no idea what the Drill Team was.  We were interested in any activities related to obedience so we went to the audition. We were surprised by what we saw and knew we wanted to be on the team.

We have two Miniature Schnauzers who were two years old when we joined the Drill Team and just beginning their obedience careers. They fit right in with all the different breeds on the team.

We enjoy the visits to the various seniors residences as they love to see the dogs in action. Our dogs have fun visiting with the seniors and usually manage to score a few treats.

The Drill Team is a great group of dedicated people who take their love of working with dogs and turn it into an exciting performance for the seniors and general public to enjoy.

The trips to Tim Horton’s after the practices are also an enjoyable part of the Drill Team.
